Welcome to Bach Collegium Japan. Founded by Masaaki Suzuki in 1990, our choir and period-instrument orchestra explore music from Bach’s sacred works to Beethoven and opera, with Music Director Masaaki Suzuki and Principal Conductor Masato Suzuki.

Will there be surtitles?
Please check the individual concert information. Our November 2026 performances of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice are concert performances, sung in Italian with Japanese surtitles.
What should I check before attending?
Confirm the venue, doors-opening time, start time and ticket requirements. Arriving early gives you time to settle in and browse the programme. Choose comfortable clothing and check any venue-specific guidance.
